New Lampwork Beads!

I bought these cool handmade, lampwork beads recently and finally made something with them. They are so modern/retro/cool that I just love them. Unfortunately, I could only get about 10 from the glass artist so I'm going to have to choose carefully how I use them.

This is just one of my many new pieces that I've made to get ready for the Festival on the Square Art show that is now only 1 week away. EGAD!!
All silver used, including beads and wire, is sterling silver. I made the earwires myself. They are listed in my etsy store for $18.

Back to school!

Well, I'm busy working like a little bee on my inventory for the upcoming Festival on the Square Art Show. I've just listed this adorable bookmark yesterday in my etsy shop, for the princess in your life. Every girl should get to feel like a princess once in a while - even grown up girls! Click here to go to my etsy shop.

School started back for us yesterday. I always get really sad, because it means my son is growing up and one day he'll leave me. :( My friend says she thinks of the start of school as a new adventure. I guess I need to start looking at it that way - that's very positive.

Festival on the Square, Tyler Texas

I got some really exciting news yesterday. I was chosen to be in the juried art section of the upcoming Festival on the Square, here in Tyler, Texas. I'm very excited to have been chosen for the juried section. This will be my first juried show and I hope all goes well.

The Festival on the Square takes place on Saturday, September 13, 2008 with the Arts and Crafts open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. They also have food, children's activities and all day music. The music continues into the night with an after hours concert that last until midnight. For more information click here.
