My name is Tricia.
I have one teenage son who is awesome, one handsome husband, and a grumpy old dog.
I am a registered nurse with a B.S. in nursing. All of my nursing experience is in Trauma Intensive Care at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
I have Fibromyalgia and an auto immune disease called Systemic Lupus. Sometimes I post whiny stuff about how I feel about it. Just skip over those parts.
Due to the severity of my illness, I am currently unable to work in nursing.
I love to sew, quilt (my newest love), paper piece, read, and create new things. I post about sewing, creating, cooking, and sometimes, about events in my life. I founded our local modern quilting group which has now become a chapter of the Modern Quilt Guild. We are Tyler Modern Quilt Guild.

My sewing machines:
I use my Janome DC2010 for classes and sew days and also for some fancy stitches.
I also have a Juki TL 2010Q which I received for Christmas 2014. It is awesome! I do all my piecing and quilting on it. It is so easy to work with and I don't think I would ever give it up.
My newest machine is a Janome Horizon Memory Craft 7700 which I bought used. I'm still getting use to her but I'm really starting to love her.
